Career Chat are informal discussions offered through the Cummings Support Center that provide veterinary students with real-life perspectives on career options available within the veterinary profession. Through monthly sessions attended by Cummings School alumni, students learn about the possibilities, opportunities, realities and challenges associated with various professional pursuits.

The Career Chat program helps students:

  • Develop a framework to effectively plan their veterinary careers
  • Network and communicate with future veterinary colleagues through ‘face to face’ interactions
  • Gain confidence in talking with veterinary colleagues
  • Connect with geographically dispersed alumni
  • Recognize the life-long value of the Cummings Support Center

While this program is especially valuable for first and second year students, all Cummings School students may participate.

In addition to the benefits to veterinary students, it is a unique way for alumni across the globe to engage with the University and their future veterinary colleagues on a professional level.
